"I'm Going Home Everyone!"

Well...today Lincoln is 5 weeks old...and there is no better way to celebrate than a trip home! The Dr's told us that they are comfortable letting Lincoln go home with his NG tube. Babies tend to do better with feeding when they get home and they feel that he is nutritionally stable to go. So after a few tests today we will be heading home! Pray the transition goes smooth and the car ride too. It's kinda scary thinking about taking a baby who has critical needs home and not having the constant supervision of Dr's and nurses around to monitor things.....but its our turn now! We will be leaving this afternoon...so pray hard! We will update you all soon. We love you all! J&K

Praise God!! What an answer to prayer! We have been praying for you all since Lincoln was just being "knit together" and will continue now as you all are finally going home together! I will pray for a smooth ride home and that the Lord will give you confidence and strength as you transition to life at home as a family. What a special day! The hand of God has surely been on your little boy! And I'm sure you have touched the lives of all the Dr.'s and nurses you have seen over the last five weeks. God will continue to do great things!

God Bless!

Hey, Josh, please keep the blog updated as you find the time. We would love to know how Lincoln continues to improve but don't wanna bombard you with lots of phone calls as you need your rest and time to adjust as a family. Lincoln is quite the celebrity.

How exciting!!! Our family has been praying for all of you and will continue. Our daughter Rachel, who was 8 years old when your dad lead our trip to PNG 6 years ago, has made a gift for Lincoln. Can we send it to you?

Yippppeeeeeee!!!!

It is so neat to look back at all the thoughts and questions before Lincoln was born. We are so elated that God has answered all the prayers and you guys are headed home. It’ll be a true joy to have you back. You guys need to start living a “normal” life for once. Drive safe. Josh, remember to buckle him in the carseat (Eric forgot this lil’ on the way home from the hospital with Makayla).

See you soon!!!!

Parise the Lord! One major step is over!

After a month in the hospital I only can imagine how you feel. Our daughter was in the hospital 3 weeks after her heart surgery and it was considered "routine"

We will continue to pray for you.

I started crying as I read this post. I can't imagine the anxiousness that you must be feeling for many reasons! We all know, (especially after these last five weeks!), what God can do. Rest in Him, trust in Him, and hope in Him. Our God is the one true living God who cares about our needs. Lincoln is proof of God's care. I am so excited for you guys and probably won't be able to stop thinking about it. I am going to go pray for you guys as you all three travel home. One step at a time is all God asks us to take, trusting in Him all the way. Watching you guys these past weeks, has encouraged me in my faith, and reminded me of so many of God's wonderful attributes! Talk to you soon!

Love, Christine (& Josh)

I can't believe you guys will be just around the corner and not hours and hours away. I hope you are not too bombarded with calls and visits when you return. Let us know when you're ready. I'd like to bring you guys a meal soon. We are leaving for John's reward trip on Saturday for a week so hopefully we can figure something out. Love you guys!

Wow! We are so excited for you all. Hopefully by the time you read this you will be home already. We are traveling home from washington DC tomorrow and will be praying for you all as you get adjusted to 24 hour care responsibilites. We are in town and off work the next 10 days. Would love to bring you a meal. How about thursday? Call us on wed. or thursday morning and let me know. If I don't hear from you (life will be crazy for you I know) I will call Michelle Aaron and see what is up with meals. Welcome Home Lincoln!!!

What a huge answer to prayer! We couldn't be happier for you guys. I understand your anxiousness about being away from all the doctors and 24 hour care but just remember Lincoln is under the care of the Great Physician every hour of every day. I'm sure angels are rejoicing along with all of us at the long awaited arrival of Lincoln to his home with just Mom & Dad. We can't wait to see you guys and we are really looking forward to meeting Lincoln. If you guys need ANYTHING do not hesitate to call us any time. We love you lots!

Love,
Melissa (and Randy too)

Hi all,

What a joy to hear you are now home with Lincoln. I did not see the update last night so what a blessing and surprise! I am amazed at how quickly you were given the okay to go home and am so pleased for you. I know it has to be scary to take Lincoln home but I know the God Who has seen you through the past 5 weeks will continue to give you His Grace, strength, peace and wisdom for each new step. You will each be in my prayers during this transition time. I know you are going to love being in your own surroundings and sleep in your own bed! At night, remember Psalms 4:8 which tells us we can "lie down and sleep in peace" as the Heavenly Father will take care of Lincoln.

I look forward to the next update. Ladies from my Bible Study were so excited that Lincoln was soon to be home and now they will be ecstatic to know he is home. God's blessings to each of you. I will pray for you with the heat wave in Fresno as well. I hear it is pretty stifling.

Love ya much,

aunt donna :-) Phil. 4:13,19
