Hey everybody....
Sorry for the no post today....It's been a very busy day. A lot of family came down for the weekend to visit so its hard to get to the computer. Also no pics today....sorry, I know that's the best part. Tomorrow I will post a bunch! Lincoln is doing good! We are still just waiting to see if this chylothorax will heal and he can begin his feeds. They have decided to wait only 5 days instead of 7-14 days to let the duct heal before they to a trial run with his feeds. Today was day 3 of the 5. So Monday they will stop the medication (Octreotide) used to help it heal and then begin with small amounts of a nonfat special formula through NG tube. If it has healed there shouldn't be any drainage from his chest tubes. If it hasn't healed, we stop feeds, wait another week, try again and the chest tubes stay in until the problem is fixed. Pray that the chylo is healed by Monday and he can tolerate getting food! The presence of the chest tubes are so painful and such a huge risk for he needs the calories to put on a few pounds which will just help the all around nutrition aspect too. Today Lincoln's chest x-ray was a little cloudy. This means he is getting a little fluid on his lungs. This is caused by high pulmonary flow to his lungs. He seems to be handling it ok since his vital signs and chest sound are good. Pleas pray that his lungs become & remain clear! Other than those two things, Lincoln is doing great! Well, that's it until tomorrow...we will talk to you then. We love you all! J&K

Josh, Kristen,and Lincoln
Psalm 20.
Trust in the name of the Lord our God.
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
May He send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion. May He remember all of your offerings and regard with favor you burnt sacrifices. May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all of your plans. May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all of your petitions.
Now I know that the Lord saves His annointed, He will answer him from His Holy Heaven with the saving might of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. O Lord save the King(and Lincoln). May He answer us when we call.

Josh and Kristen, Thank you for giving us the priviledge of being apart of Lincoln's and your families life, and the joy it is to be praying for you.

Note from Chaplain Millie Vierra 7/1:

Josh and Kirsten truly know the Lord and that He is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him" (Nahum 1:7)

They put their trust and hope in the name of the Lord. His promises always prove true 1 Kings 8:56.

His strength is always sufficient.
Josh and Kirsten have chose to put on "a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair" (Isa. 61:3)

They believe God's word is necessary for receiving strength and encouragement. It is a Lamp unto our feet and a light to our paths. Lincoln parents have placed him in the Lords loving care.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. ( Psalm 139:13-14).

The Lord has promised "I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. (Isa. 46:4)

We do not need to worry just Abide in Him and in His word. To Place our confidence in HIm and to be faithful.

It is a great privlidge and encouragement to receive "The Lincoln updates." This precious little child who's just a few weeks old has already begun reaching out to others through his miracle and through his parents in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
"Glory Be to God in the Highest!"

May our God send rivers of living water to refresh their souls and spirits.

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak"( Isa.40:29)

In His love,

Chaplain Millie
Isaih 58:11

11 The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

Note from Chaplain Maureen Douglass
7/1 after thanking her for her prayers:

Oh, you are so welcome, Janelle...........what would we do without our faith and our caring for one another's concerns? I belong to a prayer community at St. Francis Church and am including 'Lil Lincoln and your family in our prayer. "For when two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them"!!!

God's peace to you all,

AS note from Father Joe after thanking him for his continued prayers 7/1:

You are welcome. I will be on vacation the month of July. I won't have access to this address. My prayers continue.

May you have strength and understanding.

Fr. Joe

Dear Kristen & Josh,
Just wanted to let you know we are still praying for you all. Especially for little Lincoln, but for your strength as well, we know how draining it can be. Love, Patricia & Peter Brown

Hi Josh, Kristen and Lincoln,

Thanks for another good report. One more baby step in God's miracle for each of you. I do pray that your little body, Lincoln, will heal and that you will be able to have some special formula soon. I pray that the chylothorax will heal quickly so all of this can happen. I also pray your little lungs will remain clear and that your Heavenly Father will continue to lovingly take care of you and your very special Mommy and Daddy.

I am glad you were able have family come visit you this weekend. I know they miss being there with you all. Would be nice to see a picture of Grampa Rob, Gramma Vicki and Great Gramma Georgia on the Blog if possible! Please give them my love.

Take care and God's blessings to you. I am praying for God's strength for you both.

Love ya much,

Aunt Donna :-) Joshua 1:9
