Give Me Morphine!

Lincoln got out of surgery at 2:30 this afternoon. He did very well...just in a lot of pain though. He was intubated during the procedure so his throat hurts. The surgeon attempted to enter through the left side of his chest but could not thread the catheter into the vein. He was able to get into the right side but that means Lincoln has two incision sites...and double the amount of pain. He just needs to rest and recuperate now for the next few days. There is not too much new to tell about Lincoln other than he has had a great week. He is now attempting to fold his hands and is smiling more and more. These are a few pictures taken over Thanksgiving weekend with the York family: "Working out" with papa York and hangin' with the cousins. We actually got to see all of Lincoln's face while we were re-taping his tubes. And yes...even a candid moment while changing clothes. Thank you all for your continued prayers...We love you all! So happy to hear that Lincoln is out of surgery and doing good. He is such a good little patient and so cute. He is so precious and we are looking forward to his coming home and we can all get to hold him. We pray for you guys. . . . . He is so precious and God is certainly using Lincoln. What a testimony this little boy is to so many people. We can't begin to know who, but God certainly knows! Thanks again for keeping us posted. We really do appreciate all of your updates.

Yay Lincoln! He is such a trooper!!! I'm sorry to hear he is going through some pain but happy to hear that he came through the surgery well. He is getting more handsome with each new picture you post. Josh & Kristen, I hope you are able to get some resting and recouperating in over the next few days along with Lincoln. Miss you guys and can't wait to see you again.

Love,
Melissa

Hi Guys,

I'm so happy Lincoln has his surgery behind him. I also loved hearing that he has had a great week. Why should we be surprised with sooooooooooo many people praying! We continue to pray everyday for a new heart. God's timing is perfect.

Lincoln will soon be six months old!!!! Wow, that's hard to believe. What a blessing to have him in your arms.

Love to you all,
Linda and George

P.S. LOVE those pictures! The one of all the family would make a great Christmas card...
