Extubation Complete!

They pulled Lincoln's breathing tube out a few hours ago...He is doing great! He is more awake and realizing his pain more. Pray for his pain as he is being weaned off his pain medication. So far so good...almost 48 hrs complete! Praise God!

Yay! I know extubation is a huge hurdle to overcome and I'm sure it is such a relief to see that tube gone. Can you hold him now??? Thanks for the updates.

Hi You Guys,

It's so good to be back home so I could get on the blog and see the latest. It was great talking with you Josh and of course Vicki reporting in to me regularly. We are still so overjoyed and just on pins and needles all the time thinking of and praying for him during this time. WOW...it's still so amazing that he can be doing so well. Has God answered our prayers or WHAT??????!!!!! We will continue to pray for Lincoln's pain levels and wisdom for the doctors as they watch him closely. Also we are still praying for and thinking of, often, about the donor family with such gratitude for giving the gift of live to our Lincoln. What precious people they must be.

Love you all so much!

Walking on air and praising our Lord,
Linda (and George too)

Hi Josh and Kristen,

I just checked my email and I am sooooooooooo excited about Lincoln's new heart! :-) For some reason, it did not show up on my computer Thursday or Friday so I was unable to send it out to our prayer partners but I know they have been praying daily for him and you. I will send this out right away tonight!

I am thrilled that Lincoln has done so well with his new heart and hs already had the breathing tube removed. God is soooooooo Good and so Amazing! The miracle continues and I am trusting God that it will keep on going and Lincoln will thrive with this very special gift from a very special family. I will be praying for the family who had to lose a child in order for Lincoln to gain a heart. I pray God's comfort will b great for them.

Hugs and much love to you and all the family. I am rejoicing with each one of you and look forward to the next update. Thanks for the great pictures as well.

Please wish Rob and Vicki a special Anniversary on Monday and give them my love.

Love ya so much,

aunt donna :-) Eph. 3:20

Congratulations! We were so excited to hear that Lincoln has a new heart! He is such a strong and brave young man. He can now begin his recovery. Although there will be challenges along the way, each day Lincoln will grow stronger and healthier. Please give him a kiss on the hand from us. He is always in our thoughts and prayers! Love, Sarah, Christian, and Evan (your neighbor in the PICU)

Hi Guys: Once again today I woke up thinking of Lincoln and praying and thanking God for how well he is doing. Blair told us that the Drs. said that Lincoln is recovering from his surgery faster than they have seen before. Yeah!!! Thank You lord! Today also as Linda also wrote I am also thinking of the donor family. I have decided to continue to keep them in my prayers. I know that you guys know more than any of us what they must be going through now. I pray that they will find a sense of joy in the midst of their loss that Lincoln now has a perfect new heart and new life. I pray that God will shower them with His love and understanding. I love you guys. Have another great day!

Good Morning!

Riverpark Bible Church rejoiced this morning as Lincoln's precious face (with his tongue sticking out) was shown on the big screens explaining about his new heart. What a praise to be able to share the news giving glory to God!

There is a buzz about Lincoln all around the church this morning. People are so pleased to hear the good news. All send their love and say they will continue to pray.

We trust he continues to do well this morning as he begins his journey of recuperation. You'll be amazed how quickly he will bounce back...but he'll be so much better.

To GOD be the GLORY !!!!!

Love you lots!
Linda and George

oh baby Lincoln, you sweet boy, Jesus loves you and you are in our prayers. And mama Kristin and daddy, Josh you are loved. God is doing amazing things in your life. You are in my heart and in my prayers. Do not lose heart in doing good for in due time you shall reap if you do not grow weary. (Galations something) God is good when we feel it and when we don't.

Hi again. The minuet I heard about Lincolns new heart I immediately started singing this song that I learned when I was a little girl.I sang this about 45 years ago. My mommy told me something a little girl should know, It's all about the devil and I learned to hate him so, He always causes trouble and you never let him in, so open up your heart and let the sunshine in. So let the sunshine in face it with a grin, smilers never lose and frowners never win so let the sunshine in face it with grin ,open up your HEART and let the sunshine in. Love, Debbie Belmont

Just checking to see how Lincoln is doing. I can't help but worry when there's no news for this long. Still praying for the little guy.

Hey Fellow Bloggers,
The word I have is that Lincoln is doing well. He did have a little set-back. Kilothorax...but his heart is functioning great. Because of his set- back he will have to have his tubes in his chest longer. He had his first heart biopsy Wednesday and there are no signs of rejection. Praise God! His pressures are all good. Pray that his thorax issue would heal up quickly.

I check the blog a couple of times a day, myself, too waiting for the latest. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds by letting people know he is doing well. Just keep praying!!
Linda

Thank you Linda! We appreciate the news. We are on pins and needles and yes, it is a bit nerve wracking when there is no news for so long at such a critical time. I've been hoping that "no news is good news" and it looks like that is mostly the case.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view

Hmm that's quiet interessting but honestly i have a hard time seeing it... I'm wondering what others have to say....
