Love, Chet, Amy, Breeya, Kenzi, and Zach Attack :)
Hi Guys!! Yeah!!!!! Lincoln looks sooooo gooood and soooo happy. He must know in his 'heart of hearts' that he has a new heart, that God is taking care of him AND that he is blessing us all cuz he is on the road to recovery and life. We love you guys and are praying continually for you. If you are planning a big 1st birthday party in June, we will be there!!! love Patsy and fam (I loved seeing the pictures of Blair and Michelle with Lincoln!!! George too!!!)
He looks so healthy. I can't even see his incision in those pics. I am particularly fond of the one where he's eating! Such gorgeous eyes he has. Such a charmer. I can't wait to see him, hug him and kiss him. What a JOY.
Possibly the cutest kid EVER!! He is getting so big! We are so happy to hear you are finally able to use the stroller we gave you. That's so awesome that he can go out & about with you now. Amazing!!
It is so amazing what God has done! I was so sad I couldn't come down to see Lincoln & you guys. There were lots of reasons I couldn't go to LA with Josh, but in the end I was home sick the whole week so I couldn't have seen Lincoln even if I was there. But now we can come & see him & you guys when you come home to Fresno!!!! There are still several times a day I just sit there and think about all you & Lincoln have come through & I'm just amazed. You have been a living testimony of your faith in God to more people than you can even imagine! We are continuing to pray for all of you & can't wait to see you guys.
Happy Easter, Lincoln! and Josh and Kristen too. Hope you enjoyed your time with family and got lotsa cute pictures of Lincon's first Easter. Have you taken some of those other cute pictures we talked about, Kristen? I'd love to see 'em sometime. If not, I'll help you take 'em when you get back. Take care and see you guys soon!
Happy Easter! I hope you all had a special day for Lincoln's first Easter. You are in our prayers and we think of you often. Hope all is going well. We miss you!
Just got a message on my answering machine from Josh wanting to spread the word about Lincoln. He hasn't been able to update the blog, so he asked me to get the word out. Lincoln has still been feelin' cruddy, with diarrhea and vomitting, so they drew some labs on him. Results came back that he has CMV, a virus that is common for immunosuppressed kids to contract. He will be admitted to the hospital, on the regular floor, for the next couple days. They want him on IV meds to help him tackle this thing. Also, he has some fluid around his heart, which they say could be from the virus and they wanna take care of that too. Pray for Lincoln's health as this could be very nasty for his new heart. Also, Kristen is really sick and stuck in the hotel room at the Tiverton House, so Josh will be staying with Lincoln at the hospital the whole time. Lincoln will be on the regular floor (not ICU), which means he will probably have a roommate and a nurse that doesn't visit very often (unlike the ICU where the nurse is there all the time). With Lincoln being just a baby, he shouldn't be just left alone in the room with no one checking on him (healthwise or safety-wise), so Josh will probably be there 24/7. They're both just tired, so pray for their stamina. They'll do what they hafta do, but, man, poor guys!! Keep them in your prayers and pass this along to others. One word of advice: (I say this from experience): Stop and pray now. It's so easy to get caught up in communication with others that we forget communicating with God. Don't wait to get distracted--just stop right now and pray. Thanks, guys!
Michele, thanks for the update. Our whole family visited them this weekend for Easter and had a wonderful time. They are tired and weary, but joyous at the same time. Thank you all for your prayers.
