Prayer for Huge Step!

This will be a quick update....When we got to the hospital this morning we noticed the ventilator settings were turned down from the night before. The Dr's told us that they want to take an aggressive advancement toward getting Lincoln extubated. Over the next 24 hrs they are going to be weaning the ventilator settings to the point that he will be doing all the work. Their goal is to bring the rate and pressure down to where he is breathing on his own by tomorrow. This is HUGE! Please pray that this is not too quick of a step and that he can tolerate it. Pray that his heart and lung pressures adjust POSITIVELY. Pray that his lung muscles have enough strength and do not tire out too quickly. If they don't adjust positively or if he cannot tolerate it they might have to entertain the idea of adjusting the band on his heart. We will let you know how things are going as soon as possible! Thanks so much for all the posts, Josh. You explain things so well. We check the blog many times a day to find the latest updates and prayer requests. We will definitely be in fervent prayer for Lincoln's breathing. What a huge step for him. Praying too that you get some rest tonight amidst all the checking in.

Hi Guys,

We will continue to pray for that little munchkin! God's plans are perfect for little Lincoln and His timing is too...we'll pray that it's God's will that he show great signs of healing!

Ethan continues to pray for Lincoln..."Dear Jesus, Thank you baby Lincoln, Josh, Kristen, Gramma Vicki, Gramma Vicki, Gramma Vicki, (yes, 3 times...she must need prayer too!).Then he goes on to pray for the usual...trucks, pants, doors, stuff, God's power, love, and forgiveness. But "baby Lincoln" is always first!

We love you guys,
Danielle

Lincoln looks so alert in the pictures. He is darling. We will be in prayer for all of Lincoln's specifics as well as continued JOY and peace for the two of you! Miracles, isn't that the business God is in? I'm continuing to pray for daily miracles.

Hi Josh and Kristen,

Just a quick note to let you know I have been praying for Lincoln and the doctors as they try weaning from the ventilator. The Lord awoke me in the night a couple of times to pray. I know many others are continuing to pray step by step in this ongoing miracle of our Merciful and Gracious God. I am continuing to pray for strength for the 2 of you as you deal with all the emotional and physical exhaustion.

I am glad for the opportunity to check Lincoln's blog many times each day in case of any changes. What a great way to let everyone know how to pray.

Love to each of you and family,

Aunt Donna :-) Prov. 3:5-6; Psalm 23

I will be praying everyday for baby lincoln. I really wish I could go down there this weekend, but it won't work out because of work. I love you guys so much, and really respect the amount of faith you guys have through every situation.
Love,
Keenan
